The Christmas season brings out the child in anyone. Various festivities, carried out in whatever style or theme, give individuals the chance to have fun and loosen up in the company of families and friends, as well as cheer up even the saddest of souls.

BGC found its perfect partner in Disney Philippines to let everyone experience a playful and more colorful Christmas season this year

On the most wonderful time of the year, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig teamed up with the Walt Disney Company Philippines (WDCP) to bring Pixar Playtown. The whole lifestyle and financial district is dressed up with decors that remind both residents and guests of well-loved characters from the animated movies Cars, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and Toy Story.

“BGC found its perfect partner in Disney Philippines to let everyone experience a playful and more colorful Christmas season this year. BGC and Disney Pixar both have a fun and vibrant energy that continues to charm the young and the young at heart,” said Sean Luarca, BGC’s Marketing and Community Relations head.

Along 7th Avenue stands the key centerpiece of Pixar Playtown — a spectacular 50-foot Christmas tree that’s surrounded by life-size installations of Toy Story’s Sheriff Woody and his frenemy Buzz Lightyear. On the other side of the street, there’s an eye-candy backdrop where guests can snap their photos together with Monsters, Inc.’s blue monster Sulley and his best friend Mike Wazowski.

We hope to bring some cheer and magic into this wonderful festive season.

There’s also a larger-than-life installation of Cars’ Lightning McQueen stationed at Bonifacio High Street Park, which is also the site of the estate-wide Ayala Land lights and sounds show entitled Reimagine the Magic: A Festival of Lights — running every 30 minutes from 6 to 10 p.m. until 6 January 2019.

Over at 5th Avenue corner McKinley Parkway, a BGC signage is adorned with decors of the adorable clownfish Nemo and his pal Dory. When going around the city, one may spot more Disney Pixar decors located in select front-door arches of buildings, as well as lamp posts and traffic lights along major roads.

According to Veronica Cabalinan, WDCP country head: “With Disney Pixar Playtown, we hope to bring some cheer and magic into this wonderful festive season and add a few more smiles to kids and families across the Philippines.”

Other upcoming yuletide festivities in BGC include a Disney-themed quiz night, a last-minute holiday fair entitled Polar Express: Christmas Rush at BHS Central, a Santa Claus meet-and-greet and a community novena mass or Simbang Gabi from 16 to 24 December, starting 6:30 p.m. at the BHS Amphitheater.

On 31 December, BGC rings in 2019 with its annual New Year Countdown, this time dubbed as BGC X Taguig Pulse 2019 that will be held along 5th Avenue of BHS with various activities, food treats, a spectacular fireworks display and entertaining live performances from world-class Filipino talents such as KZ Tandingan, Jessica Sanchez and more.
