PDEA raids Makati shabu lair

Thirty-six agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Makati City policemen yesterday arrested 11 suspected drug personalities in Makati City.

The suspects were collared on the strength of a search warrant issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court vice executive judge Ferdinand Baylon identifying their hideout at 3421 Adora Street in Barangay Tejeros.

Seized from the suspects were 17 sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia. They will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA agent Sharon Ominga led the agency’s operatives while the Makati police was spearheaded by Sr. Insp. Sherwin Maupay under the direct supervision of Sr. Supt. Rogelio Simon, the chief of police of Makati.

Meanwhile, three allegedly notorious holdup men operating in Manila’s University Belt area were arrested Tuesday after being spotted by their victims and policemen aboard a patrol car.

The suspects were positively identified by their victims as the ones who divested them of their personal belongings along España Boulevard.

Nabbed were Mark Milson, 28, Alvin Ramos, 23 and Alberto Mendoza Jr., 37, all residents of Manila. They were put in the custody of the Manila Police District Station 4.
