Switzerland Tourism is back in the Philippines for its annual Southeast Asia Roadshow.
Recently held at Solaire Resort and Casino, the roadshow, beyond its primary aim to strengthen Switzerland Tourism’s strategic partnerships with local travel agencies and tour operators, intends to connect travel agency executives and representatives with its partners to further promote destinations and attractions in Switzerland, as well as provide them with updates on new products that will suit Filipino travel enthusiasts’ palate for holiday adventures, particularly this winter season.
Ivan Breiter, director for Southeast Asia, along with Oliver Guggisberg, project manager, welcomed guests from travel agencies and media with a two-part event. A workshop was held in the morning for travel consultants and tour operators followed by a cocktail reception for travel executives and media, paving the way to connect with the Southeast Asia delegates.
Southeast Asia delegates represent Switzerland Tourism partners such as Gornergrat Bahn – Matterhorn Railway, Bermina Express, Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, Swiss Travel System, Rail Europe, Schilthorn Cableway Ltd., Titlis Cableways, Hotels and Restaurants, Lucerne-Lake Lucerne Region and Zurich Tourism.
Breiter grabbed the opportunity to thank Filipinos for the 67 percent increase in Filipino tourist arrivals in three years.
Switzerland Tourism looks forward to boosting this number by continuously intensifying its efforts to connect to Filipinos and encourage them to treat themselves through a winter upgrade this season.
The next legs of the Southeast Asia Roadshow are in Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam; Penang Malaysia and Surabaya, Indonesia.
