Aside from pushing individual advocacies, this male pageant is envisaged to be an excellent foundation for men who have the passion and commitment to show the beauty of world culture, heritage and values.

Kelvin Aguilan Vicente, the 26-year-old Igorot hunk from Baguio, bested 18 other hopefuls.

He supports his family and is currently involved in the House Parent Reception and Studies Center for Children under the Department of Social Welfare and Development — Cordillera Administrative Region. Promoting sustainable tourism through his roots, he will be the first to compete in June 2019 in Manila.

Mark Angelo Campos Avila, the 24-year-old Communication graduate from Ateneo de Naga, will also compete in June 2019 for Gentleman of the World. It will be held in Manado, Indonesia. This gentleman from Naga City works as a host and recently toured Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. He was a judge at the modified traditional costume competition and was invited to perform an Indonesian song entitled, “Dari Mata” during the Gentleman of Indonesia grand coronation night held in Manado last 9 November 2018.

Another Igorot from Benguet won in this year’s competition. Keanu Amboy Fernando, 23, is a graduating Mechanical Engineering student from Saint Louis University, who is set to compete next year in Malaysia.

Wildlife being his chosen advocacy, he went out of his way to foster an orphaned elephant named Kina, who was discovered submerged in mud and exposed to sunlight all day long, terribly damaging her pink petal ear. The female elephant was rescued, extracted and finally airlifted to Kenya’s Nairobi Nursery. Fernando encourages everyone to support this cause. He added that a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) is a must while in Kenya.

Iloilo’s Christian Garcia Villarin will make his way to Colombia to compete in September 2019 for the Mister Imperial Universe. With very good physique at age 20, he is currently pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot.

Sho Migerito Uchimura, a microentrepreneur, is this year’s first runner-up. The 25-year-old from Nasugbu, Batangas is currently an endorser of several brands. Acebo is the youngest of all the winners at 19.

The second runner-up from Tanza, Cavite is an Accountancy student from the National College of Business Arts in Taytay, Rizal. It was also made clear that Patrick Santillan Acebo and Uchimura are eligible to join the competition again next year.
