The much-awaited latest offering of Ferrari has finally arrived in Manila. The four-seater Ferrari Portofino was presented to the motoring media and VIP guests by Autostrada Motore Inc. at Okada Manila’s Cove Manila.

Autostrada chairman and president Wellington Soong did not just present the new Ferrari model but gave an announcement as well about a strategic power alliance with Udenna Corporation’s Dennis Uy, the man that started Phoenix Petroleum.

Uy, for his part, said that he is honored to be a part of the Autostrada family and will support the brand in whatever way possible. Soong also said that there will be no changes in the present management, and that everything will continue smoothly.

The new Portofino, the successor of the California T, is powered by the Ferrari V8 turbo, a member of the engine family that won the International Engine of the Year Award in 2016 and 2017.

It was named after one of the most attractive towns located in the Italian Riviera in the Liguria Region. This latest Grand Tourer from Ferrari is an aggressively-styled sports car with a two-box configuration unprecedented in a hardtop convertible. This Ferrari model is designed for enjoying daily driving and converts from an authentic Berlinetta into an open-top Spider in just 14 seconds even during low-speed driving.

With a brilliant marriage of design, performance and technology and with various advantageous features — retractable hard top, spacious trunk, ample passenger space and two rear seats suitable for a short trip — the new model is perfect for any occasion. It is also the most powerful convertible car Ferrari has ever produced.
