More Pinoy TV shows air around region

More shows from ABS-CBN, the leading media and entertainment company in the Philippines, will be made available to other Southeast Asian countries as it signs distribution deals with companies in Vietnam and Myanmar.

Viet Content, a media group into content acquisition and distribution, is bringing the ABS-CBN show Magpahanggang Wakas (I’ll Never Say Goodbye,) which stars Jericho Rosales, to Vietnamese viewers. It revolves around reunited lovers, who must choose between continuing their love or forgetting it.

It has been a premier source of high-quality Filipino programming in over 50 territories all over the world and has sold over 40,000 hours of content worldwide.

Meanwhile, media company S&E Syndication signed to continue airing the recently concluded Asintado in Myanmar. It stars one of the Philippines’ prime drama actresses, Julia Montes, as a young woman who is out to avenge the death of her family while searching for a long-lost sister. The show is on its second season in Myanmar.

Myanmar audiences will also get to watch the family and marital drama-thriller The Better Half, after ABS-CBN signed a deal with Canal+ a premium French cable channel. The show features a bizarre love square fueled by jealousy and obsession.

ABS-CBN shows like The Promise, La Luna Sangre, The Legal Wife and Bridges of Love have aired in other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Cambodia.
