Creamline, Pocari collide

Action in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference heats up with Creamline and Pocari-Air Force face-off in a key duel today at the Filoil Flying V Center.

One streak will be snapped when they collide in the 6 p.m. main game with both teams coming off a three-game run that put them back in the hunt after dropping their opening game assignments.

Ateneo-Motolite, meanwhile, clashes with Adamson in the first game at 4 p.m.
The Lady Eagles survived Iriga-Navy and hacked out a 25-19, 29-27, 25-14 victory late Saturday.

It was the Lady Eagles’ third win in four outings.

Alyssa Valdez and Myla Pablo are both expected to deliver their best to lead their respective squads in this duel.

Although the Cool Smashers will miss Michelle Gumabao, who is vying in the Miss Globe in Albania, the likes of Risa Sato, Jessica Galanza, Rizza Mandapat, libero Kyla Atienza and ace setter Jia Morado are all raring to go.

But against Pocari-Air Force, Valdez and company will have a solid, fired-up crew to contend with, with leading scorer Pablo expected to produce one of her best games along with Jeanette Panaga, May Ann Pantino, Del Palomata, Iari Yongco, Elaine Kasilag and playmaker Wendy Semana.
