Pocari-Air Force and PetroGazz seek to bounce back from stinging losses over the weekend as they clash in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference today at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Malolos City.

The Lady Warriors were ambushed by the hungry Motolite-Ateneo Lady Eagles and absorbed a 23-25, 25-17, 20-25, 28-30 defeat while the Angels succumbed to the BanKo-Perlas Spikers, 22-25, 17-25, 25-22, 17-25, in the league’s first foray out-of-town this conference in Imus, Cavite Sunday.

The losses sent Pocari to 0-1 while PetroGazz to 1-1 but the two clubs are expected to go all out to atone for it when they clash at 6 p.m.

We just have to work harder and never give up.

Myla Pablo unleashed a conference-best 30 points in the defeat, but she is will be hungry for a victory coming into the game.

PetroGazz had a hard time finding its rhythm as none of its players reached the double-digit plateau against BanKo-Perlas.

Paneng Mercado emerged the highest scorer with nine points, but it was a far cry from her 14-point performance in the Angels’ 25-22, 25-14, 26-24 demolition of the Tacloban Fighting Warays in the conference inaugurals Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

“We just have to work harder and never give up,” said PetroGazz coach Jerry Yee.
