Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is obviously avoiding answering Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano’s query on details about the backchannel talks the former President had with China during his term.
Aquino released an open letter Friday that, instead of containing his answers to the questions, was filled with rhetoric and a veiled taunt of the secretary’s hair.
The open letter also dared Cayetano to “just Google” the answers, but Noy gave a clue of his playing-hard-to-get stance by admitting that the former won’t find the “very thinking behind our actions” from the search engine.
The final giveaway that the ex-President is hiding something was in the closing sentence of his open letter, which asks the secretary: Would it be wise to give your team’s playbook to your opponent?
Clearly, the ex-President is just giving Cayetano the runaround. But, as a saying goes, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.
It’s just a matter of hair that Aquino’s head will turn transparent for everyone to see what he has been trying to hide all this time.
