The body of an unidentified man suspected to have drowned was found floating in Laguna Lake in Barangay Niogan, Pililla, Rizal on Sunday morning.

Initial investigation revealed that a 35-year-old fisherman, identified as alias Rey, was checking his net — described as “skylab/panghuli ng dolong” (“skylab/dolong-catching net”) — when he saw the body of a man floating alongside his net.

This prompted him to report the incident to barangay officials for assistance.

Ocular inspection of the cadaver revealed no signs of stab or gunshot wounds. The cadaver is now in the custody of San Juan Safe Haven Funeral Service, located along Manila East Road, Barangay Bagumbayan, Pililla, Rizal.

The still unidentified man is around 45 to 50 years old, medium built, with beard and mustache, approximately 5 feet 4 inches in height, brown complexion, and was wearing a black polo shirt and brown maong shorts.
